My favorite typo from the latest McSweeney's (not the web site, the printed edition):

SEX: A LOUD, SHRILL ALARM.

This is a play, so it should have read "SFX". But I like this better.

A Craptastic-ish post.

Hey, it's a new REM album.
Hey, Amazon has 'free downloads'.
Hey, they're in the useless Liquid Audio format.
Hey, you can't even hear them in Canada.

That's so dumb.

My god. NotMyDog's blog reminds me why I boycott the Stampede.

Why the heck can't I archive all those old Blogger posts?

I'm booked for Barcelona!

I start with Sonar, then head along the Pyrenees to the Guggenheim, and end with a bang on the 'Nit del Foc' (night of fire). Should be an adventure. Especially since I'm going solo.

An interesting discovery: it would appear, in Alberta at least, that most editors are women. That is, if the ratio of men to women (1:12) at today's Editors' Association of Canada (Calgary chapter) meeting was any indication.

This may bode well for me -- at least for companies who practice gender-based affirmative action -- in light of my impending unemployment.

It was encouraging to be among kindred spirits. I didn't realize how much I needed that.

I may not have a Vespa, but maybe my new Ben Sherman shirt will win me some cred with the mods.
