An updated verse for Jane's hymn:
Lord of pixels, Lord of bytes, Lord of e-mail and of sites, Lord of vector, Lord of Flash, Lord of ill-timed server crash, Lord of network, backbone, spine: all the world of data's thine. Jane's alternate closing line:please to Hell Bill Gates consign. Very nice.

Net archive turns back 10 billion pages of time Oh good. Maybe I can build a portfolio of my web work at Image Club/Adobe Studios/EyeWire over the last 5 years, after all.

Rory would like to thank everybody who pledged on her show. She raised $3,423 for CJSW. Thanks also to shoe heavies Gravity Pope, and ProCrest apparel and promotions, for their support.

Canada's Dodge Offers Little Hope for 2002 Economy Here's a great example of why I adhere to the headline style of capping the first word and proper nouns only. I read this, and I think: - what was Canada's dodge? What did we avoid? - does Dodge refer to the vehicle? - if Dodge is a person, who is "Little Hope"? His daughter? (OK, that's a bit of a stretch. But it's amazing how often capitalization obfuscates rather than clarifies meaning.) Tell me this isn't clearer: Canadian Dodge says little hope for 2002 economy

Rory's been up all night putting truckloads of goodies together - the famous W&CG compilation (2001 edition), promo CDs, custom bonus items, and very special mystery Crap that you can only get if you bid during her show. All on top of the generous CJSW packages.

Still not rich enough for you? Listen to this. Thanks to Gaven "Butterfly" Dianda (L) of Canada's finest power-pop combo, the Flashing Lights, you could also receive an autographed piece of these media darlings' history. As seen in Rolling Stone!
Don't miss it. Call (403) 220-8114 to pledge, Wednesday from noon to two...

It's time again to show your support for the best radio station in Calgary.
Dig deep and you'll be rewarded with continued cool tunes, alternative news coverage, and sassy commentary from the Walk and Chew Gum girl. Not to mention yer super-discount CJSW card and loads of cool swag. The more you pledge, the more swag you get. Pledge early, pledge often, but definitely pledge during Rory's show, Wednesday from 12 noon to 2 p.m.

Hmm... I seem to have a creepy eye theme going on in my Blogs lately. I wonder what it means?

I'm feeling pretty clever today. Although my French is extremely limited, I figured out the pun in this wonderful Gerome artwork. I also advised none other than Robin Williams on how to use the Agfa font installer in Mac OS X. (You can't, you have to use classic mode.) All the more clever because she's currently writing a book on OS X. Ahem.

Blogs: the perfect outlet for venting against managerial bullshit.
At least, I think that's what it is... don't want to make any presumptions here...
On a completely unrelated note, what the hell good is internal communication if it comes AFTER the press release?

The eye's much better today, thanks.
I'm always tempted to ascribe speedy recoveries to my being a vegetarian. Then again, when I get sick I always wonder if it's because of my diet. So I guess it evens out.

The itchy irritation of my eyelid has been temporarily alleviated by my discovery of the delightful medical terms used to describe it. I've been repeating "Meibomian, chalazion, Meibomian, chalazion" all day.

3 hours sleep last night. 3 hours the night before that. I lay awake and shake and worry. Why? I need to rebuild the desktop of my brain or something.

A few years ago, my roommate turned me on to Parliament (yo Rob). Even though I'm a pasty white, indie-rock-loving anglophile, it took only a few minutes of listening for me to accept that I'd been severely malnourished in funk. My riddim bones had been wasting away, unstimulated.
Today Lynne sensed my deficiency had recurred, and pointed me to WeFunk. Now I'm feeling more like mice elf again.

Desperately seeking Kooky Canooky. From nowhere, fond memories of an owl, possibly obligatory beaver, a sans serif logo with owl eyes in the Os (naturally), childhood, '60s Canadian culture. Cartoon? Candy? Parks preservation? Gov't-funded school propaganda (to do with -- ?) I have no idea. Blank stares from usual suspects. Lunchbox traces. That's all.
